Biography

Fifidiny is a singer-songwriter based in Edinburgh, performing catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Raised in a small town in the Highlands of Scotland with Madagascan roots, music has been her lifelong passion. From an early age, Fifidiny demonstrated a remarkable gift for storytelling through songs.

Her musical journey began at the age of 12 when she started penning her own songs. Drawing inspiration from life's experiences, Fifidiny's music is a reflection of the human spirit, exploring themes of love, resilience, and self-discovery. Her unique blend of electro, pop, and afro-beat alternative influences creates a signature sound that is both enchanting and relatable.

Fifidiny's music presence came with the release of her debut single "I Am Here" and established her as a rising talent in the Scottish music scene and landing her first musical accolade at the Proudly Black & Scottish Gala 2022. Her lyrics resonate with listeners, evoking emotions and taking them on a lyrical journey. Whether performing in intimate venues or p at major music festivals, Fifidiny's mesmerizing voice and charismatic stage presence leave a lasting impression.

'I AM HERE' 

Was released in September 2020 as Fifidiny's debut single, which was produced by Danny Herbert and Rod Jones - The track was aired on Amazing Radio, BBC music introducing , BBC Radio Scotland and Radio Orange (Vienna). 

After receiving positive reception from listeners, Fifidiny released an acoustic version of the track. 

'WHAT WE HAD'

The follow up single 'What We Had' was later released in the following April which also received air-time on BBC Music Introducing and on Amazing Radio.

Debut EP with support of Creative Scotland 

Fifidiny is due to release more music in a form of an EP in October 2023. She was able to fulfil this project after receiving funding from creative Scotland. 

The lead single from the EP 'Don't You Fear' - is  out now, on all streaming services.
